What We Offer
At LGCC we provide a high-quality preschool program, based on the most recent research available, to effectively meet the diverse needs of children in Lemon Grove and the surrounding areas. Our pre-school program (3 - 5 year olds) helps develop high-quality preschool learning experiences that help ensure the well-being and successful development of our children.

Toddlers 24 months to three years of age -Teaching is based on current research on how toddlers learn and develop in four domains described in the Infant/Toddler Learning and Development Foundations—”social-emotional, language, intellectual, and perceptual and motor development. It presents principles, a planning process, and strategies to assist teachers in their efforts to support children’s learning from birth to three years of age”. (1)
Language
Developing a framework for language development and literacy in a dual immersion Spanish/English setting.
Mathematics
The principles and ability that apply to mathematics to solve problems in English and Spanish
Creative Play
Learning through exploration of the environment and through shared experiences with other children.
Social/Emotional Support
Creating a safe environment where every child is valued socially and emotionally.
Fundamental Movement Skills
Includes balance, locomotor skills, and manipulative skills. Perceptual–Motor Skills and Movement Concepts, which focus on body awareness, spatial awareness, and directional awareness
Science
Through exploration of materials and the environment children grow physically and cognitively.
